§ 1-5. Provisions considered as continuations of existing ordinances; effect of Code adoption.

  • (a)

    The provisions appearing in this Code, so far as they are in substance the same as those of the City Code of 1965 and ordinances existing at the time of the adoption of this Code, shall be considered as continuations thereof and not as new enactments.

    (b)

    The adoption of this Code shall not work generally to repeal any omitted ordinances, except to the extent that such ordinances conflict with the provisions of this Code and except those ordinances which are specifically repealed in the adopting ordinance.
